The third edition of the Thailand Express Basketball, sponsored by MS, is an extraordinary event that has become a traditional basketball competition for the company, with substantial cash prizes up for grabs. This year, Flash Express joins as a secondary sponsor, adding to the excitement of the tournament. MS, the reigning champions from the previous year, stated,
“’We’re coming back to claim the championship this year”
This tournament provides an opportunity for many talented individuals to compete, adding vibrancy to the basketball scene and enhancing the platform for athletes’ skills. MS places great importance on this event, ensuring preparedness with venue arrangements, a proficient judging panel, and provision of uniforms for all participating teams. The presence of photographers, videographers, live streaming assistants, and commentators adds entertainment, making this basketball competition a professionally organized affair.
However, despite the competitive nature of the tournament, MS has a significant objective for this event. It aims to build a positive relationship between MS INTER LOGISTICS and Flash Express, both professional transportation companies with extensive experience. Their focus lies not only on delivering excellent customer service but also on nurturing and developing basketball athletes, creating a broad sports community. This objective is in line with MS’s emphasis on diversity within Thai society, emphasizing unity across different ethnicities.
The competition is scheduled from November 25, 2023, to December 10, 2023, at the Rangsit University Gymnasium, a standardized venue with convenient facilities that ensure a comprehensive tournament experience. Several teams have shown great interest this year, prompting requests for the tournament’s return. MS INTER LOGISTICS invites interested athletes to participate.
The registration fee per team is 5,000 Baht, which includes the provision of uniforms for all 12 team members. The tournament sets limits for players from the TBL DIV.1 national team: a maximum of three nominations and two players on the field at a time. This limitation aims to introduce new talents to the competition, allowing them to showcase their potential fully. Simultaneously, professional-level athletes are dispersed across multiple teams, diversifying the competition and enabling everyone to display their abilities fully.
The goal of the third edition of the Thailand Express Basketball is to elevate the ‘old waves,’ enhancing their skills, and fostering ‘new waves’ capable of competing at a high level, even if they haven’t experienced major tournaments before.
Here are the prizes for participants:
- Champion: Trophy and 50,000 Baht
- First Runner-Up: Trophy and 30,000 Baht
- MVP (Most Valuable Player): 10,000 Baht
